Christian music superstars coming to Mission

Downhere is headlining this Christian rock tour that will make a stop in Mission for an evening on Sunday, Dec. 7.

It’s a Christmas celebration that will include original music from the artists scheduled to play, and classic carols, reworked and performed by some of Christian music’s top artists. Check out the band, Downhere, and the solo artists below.

Downhere For nearly 10 years, Marc Martel and Jason Germain have been watching their college band that started with just the two of them grow and mature. The Christian rock band have won many awards (Dove, Juno and Covenant), but the friends who started out as college roommates and then bandmates don’t seem to have let it go to their head. Spreading their message of faith and giving fans of their music prayers in the form of songs, remain Downhere’s goal.

Jason Gray If nothing, Jason Gray is honest, almost to a fault. The indie-rock artist is known for his openness with everyone he meets. His lyrics are full of that same honesty, modesty and faith. His sound is a folk-tinged indie-rock and has been compared to artists such as Keane, Jars of Clay and Coldplay.

Jaime Jamgochian Singing Christian pop is somewhat of a new thing for Jaime Jamgochian. She was saved at the end of her college career and made God her life. Her songs are powerful, personal anthems that she hopes inspires people to spend time to worship God. Jamgochian not only sings, but also writes or co-writes many of the songs on her albums.

Daniel Kirkley Leaving behind a potentially promising medical career is a hard thing to do, but Daniel Kirkley felt it was absolutely necessary. He believed his calling was music and walked away from pre-med without looking back. His Christian musical peers are quick to point out his powerful voice, which he uses to help guide those in faith.

Lanae’ Hale A crisp, clear and cool voice emanates from Lanae’ Hale, a young woman who is just beginning her Christian pop career. Her lyrics, music and sound are a modern take on Christian music, with strong messages, using a subtle method. She sings, hoping her songs will reach young girls who are struggling through dark moments, and find faith.
