LifeLight Music Festival Changes Location What began as a gathering of about 2,000 people in a church parking lot seven years ago, has since become the largest free outdoor music festival in the country.

The four day Christian music festival called “LifeLight” drew nearly a quarter million people to the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds last September. Many of the biggest names in the business performed on several stages. But there have been problems too: parking and expenses.

LifeLight just recently managed to pay off a $96,000 budget shortfall. The festival’s president, Alan Green had considered dropping the popular event but instead, it’s being moved from the fairgrounds to Wild Water West, five miles out of town.

Alan Green, LifeLight President, said, “This was a difficult decision to make and yet it was easy because when you sense the Lord’s leading it’s very clear.”

Green says the parking issue should be resolved using land adjacent to Wild Water West and a shuttle service. This year’s Lifelight Festival runs from September 1st through the 4th
