The show was scheduled to feature the band Skillet, whose album “Awake” hits stores Tuesday, as well as Chris Tomlin, Brandon Heath, This Beautiful Republic and David Nasser.

Dorney Park spokesman Chuck Hutchison said the promoter, Premiere Festivals of Culman, Ala., simply called the park to cancel the event, and he did not have further information.

“We’re disappointed and looking forward to doing a festival next year,” Hutchison said.

He said he believed all of the tickets purchased through Dorney had been refunded. Anyone who bought tickets through i-tickets also will be refunded automatically, but anyone with questions should call 800-965-9324.

Anyone who bought tickets in person at Dorney should e-mail publicrelations@dorneypark.com to arrange refund. Please include contact phones, and receipt information. Please allow up to two full weeks for transaction processing of automatic refunds.

Premiere officials did not immediately respond to a message left at their offices Monday.

Skillet fans can next see the band Oct. 4, on its Awake and Alive Tour with Decyfer and Hawk Nelson, at The Electric Factory in Philadelphia. Ticket information available at 609-654-8440 or www.itickets.com.

Skillet, a popular 13-year-old post-grunge rock band, has released seven studio albums, the last two of which – “Collide” and “Comatose” – received Grammy Award nominations. Five of the band’s singles have hit the Top 40 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock charts, the most successful being “Savior” at No. 26 in 2004.

They played The Fallout festival at Christ Evangelical Free Church in Trexlertown in 2002 and 2005, and the Revelation Generation festival in Frenchtown, N.J., last summer.
