Third Day’s newest album Revelation

Third Day’s newest album, ” Revelation ” is a pleasant surprise. The album is a fascinating mix of Christian music, rock and country. However, it has an overarchingly Christian message, so it can be classified as a Christian album for convenience sake.

Most of the album’s songs go by fast enough, and should please fans longing for more Christian/rock crossover albums.

“Revelation,” Otherside” and “Call My Name” are definite highlights of this album. The first is a blend of rock, country and Christian gospel music, but much more so the latter. “Otherside” is more rock than gospel, but still catchy. And “Call My Name” has a beautiful melody with a very catchy chorus. It is a fascinating blend of country and rock, which works very well in this particular case.

This is a good album for what it is, and it will probably appeal more to a smaller audience than a terribly wide one.
